From Concept to Completion, The Process ...

Initial Consultation:
In this meeting you will have the opportunity to describe your business and web site objectives. We will be asking you for specific information so that we may work up an appropriate bid for your project. Since most web sites range from small to medium in size, turnaround on a bid quote is relatively quick. A larger web site would involve meeting with the designer before a meaningful estimate can be provided. Once we have all the information regarding the site, we can then inform you about various types of web site options that will fit your needs, the costs associated with each option, and the production process. General site concepts should be discussed, formulated, and agreed upon at this time.

The Draft:
After agreeing on your site concept, we'll present you with a draft of the site layout. This will include a mock-up of the home page, key sub-pages, and a site map. We will also provide at this time an estimate of costs, and a tentative production schedule.

Once you recieve the draft, you should revied the materials carefully since this is your opportunity to make any design alterations before the project begins. Start of project is now subject to client approval and sign-off on draft materials.

The Production Process :
Once the draft is approved and any specified alterations have been made and signed-off on, production on your site will begin. You will be supplying copy and photos for the project and all materials should be proofed before being submitted to us. We will supply a 'work-in-progress' site which will allow you to follow the production process. You will be required to sign off on various stages of the project along the way. At this point, we will also be working on meta-tags that will best support your site in search engines.

Site Presentation :
Once the site is completed, but before it is published to the internet, you will have the opportunity to review, make revisions and approve and sign-off on any of the completed changes.

Publishing Your Site :
Publishing your site involves moving the site files and data to your domain (www.yoursite.com) and we will submit your site to popular free search engines. The site will be available immediately after the files are moved to your domain. Your site will appear in the search engine listings usually one to six weeks after we submission.

Site Maintenance:
Your web site can be updated, expanded, and modified at will. During the planning stages of your project, you should discuss how your site will be updated and who will perform the updates.

Site maintenance should include regular checks to make sure that your site remains listed in the popular search engines and should include re-submission to those search engines that have dropped the site from their indices. Higher levels of maintenance are available and should include traffic analysis. You need to maintain and monitor your site or visitor traffic will begin to decrease because people will not be able to find you.
